About

I have been painting since about the age of 10 when my dad took up painting as a hobby. After high school I was accepted into John Herron School of Art in Indianapolis. A couple of years later I joined the Air Force and was a graphic artist. While in the Air Force, I finished my art degree at Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma. I had the wonderful opportunity to live in Europe for 3 years. I love to travel and many of my paintings are inspired by places I have been.

I love painting!
I am striving to paint more in plein air but am currently limited with my schedule so most of my painting is accomplished in the studio. My studio is located in my home in Monument, Colorado.
I have always loved art and being creative. In kindergarten my two favorite activities were finger painting and painting at the easel.
In first grade I made a snowman that was accepted in a state competition.
In college, art history was one of my required courses, which was interesting, but while I was in Europe all those fabulous works of art came alive when I had the opportunity to see them in person in European art galleries, instead of just a picture in a book.
I also entered an art competition while living in Germany. I entered a large painting of some rocks. What an honor, my painting took the 1st place blue ribbon!
